Our Quarterly meeting will be Growing Mushrooms  for Health and Profit.

Dec 6th at 1 pm at Tumbling Creek Farm

Carpool: Meet at 12:20 at at the main entrance to Pioneer Park,  Nimrod Street, Nevada City.  First parking lot on left. We will leave at 12:30 pm. Please RSVP that you want to carpool.

Cost: free, tho’ they often have giant bags of first cut spent spawn for $7 each. These bags produce many more mushrooms, and then can be spread on your land. A really inexpensive way to get that mycellium mat growing on your land which enhances everything including drought resistance.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT IF PEOPLE USE GPS THAT THEY DO NOT USE IT.  They will be sent on a long and scenic route suitable for 4 wheel drive vehicles.

There is only enough parking for about 20 cars, so consider carpooling.  However, if it’s rainy or has been raining their road may be muddy – fancy car people may not like that.

Most people have no problem finding the farm.
Rain or shine, but if it is snowing or sleeting, we will reschedule.

Directions:
from GV – takes about 20 minutes
At Brunswick, take Idaho Maryland heading away from town.
Go about 3 miles.
At the stop sign, veer RIGHT onto Banner Lava Cap
Go a little more than 2 miles.
At “Red Dog Crossroad to Red Dog,” turn RIGHT
Go about 2 1/2 miles
There will be a sign nailed to a tree on the right hand side that says:
Tumbling Creek Road
Turn RIGHT
Go 1/2 mile, turn LEFT at 14145 (There is a stump with a fake plastic
squirrel sitting on it at the driveway entrance.)
Park near the modular or trailer.

From NC takes about 20 minutes
take Red Dog Rd out of town.
At intersection of Red Dog and Banner Quaker/Banner Lava Cap, turn RIGHT
Drive a short distance
Turn LEFT at the first chance you have. (This is Red Dog Crossroad to Red Dog.)
Go about 2 1/2 miles
There will be a sign nailed to a tree on the righthand side that says:
Tumbling Creek Road
Turn RIGHT
Go 1/2 mile, turn LEFT at 14145 (There is a stump with a fake plastic
squirrel sitting on it at the driveway entrance.)
Park near the modular or the trailer.
